Red Roof Inn Baytown

My partner and I are moving across the country with two cats and decided to stay here on the first night. I have been wary of motels after staying at an awful motel 6 in Vicksburg but decided to give this place a shot because of good reviews and I'm glad I did. We arrived around midnight and the receptionist was pleasant and efficient. The room was recently renovated, clean, and comfortable. This was exactly what we needed at the end of a long, stressful day.

We have stayed here several days at a time on separate stays prior to relocating to another state. Each experience is better than the one previous... The fact they ARE PET AMIGOS is reason enough to make us happy. Even tho our boy is a service animal, not every hotel (even ones who claim to be pet friendly) are suited with accomodations like a designated pet area that actually has bags for their potty time. This place is clean and the rooms are spacious. The beds are cozy and the vanity area is large enough for couples! They have a mini fridge, microwave full size iron and ironing board, hangers and wooden floors which I think are far better than carpet you see in most hotels and other red roof locations. You can feel safe here, you are close to numerous department stores, restaurants, fast food, donut shops (this is Texas, we have food everywhere!!!) It's fairly close to the freeway, but not so close that any of it's traffic causes you to lose sleep. The only thing I would suggest is bring your own toiletries if you can, only bc most of us ladies need full size shampoo and conditioner, etc. The bath towels are kinda small so if that's not your preference grab one you'll like at Walmart across the street instead of leaving a bad review over the little things. (Keep in mind, that unfortunately people who are guests sometimes feel they paid for towels and just take what they feel is owed to them)... Therefore I can't complain about the fact they're probably not wanting to put in the money for that. The huge and comfy beds, the room size and the safety here make up for those things in my opinion! This location will probably be our first choice each time we're back in town from now on, especially if they keep it up with the friendly prices!!! Stay here if you're wanting a no frills, low key, budget friendly, safe for a family of any size or even the average working Joe with a well lit and secure parking lot for your vehicle, quaint and clean stay!... You won't be disappointed😊👍💤
